MAKING GREEN FROM GREEN Shaping the 21st Century

Innovation at the Intersection of Sustainable Design and Business. Extended reception and networking to follow.

Join us for the final event of the Making Green from Green Series which focuses on sustainable design. Our experts will explore how design and business can fuel innovation and shape the economy in the 21st century.

We will also feature designers from the New York Chapter of the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA). Designers will be available to talk about their work before and after the panel.

LOCATION: UJA Federation of New York, 130 East 59th Street

The venue does not allow any walk-ins due to security concerns. Please register and bring photo ID with you. On- line registration will close at noon on June 15, 2010 or sooner if/when the event is sold out. Since there are no walk-ins, please register early to be assured of space at this event.

Moderator

Mary McBride is the Director of the Pratt Institute graduate program in Design Management and a partner at Strategies for Planned Change International where she leads the strategic leadership and stewardship practice.


Panelists

Richard Lombard is the Chief Operating Officer of Material ConneXion, a global materials resource and consultancy that helps copanies connect with the best materials solutions.

Eric Wilmot is an Innovation Strategist at Wolff Olins, a brand consultancy that works with organizations to shape a better world. The aim is to create innovative sustainable realities, not just a nicer image.

Ken Drucker is the Design Director for HOK’s New York Office. HOK focuses on sustainable design and was ranked the “Greenest Architectural Firm” in the world for 2008 and 2009. As chair of the firm’s Design Board, Ken is responsible for integration of sustainable and design excellence into all of HOK’s work.
