IDSA NYC is proud to offer a discounted pass to the The Sustainable Planet film festival on June the 7th and the 8th

Environmental economist and television producer Pamela Peeters announces the fifth edition of the international "Sustainable Planet” film festival.

The Sustainable Planet film festival was launched in 2005 as to celebrate the UNESCO DECADE on Sustainable Education. It is the platform where moviemakers meet with for-profit and not-for-profit organizations in order to watch movies, listen to visionary experts and participate in intelligent debates touching sustainable lifestyle solutions. The festival has already been produced in three different countries ( Belgium, Jordan and the USA ). The movies showcase community building efforts and/or environmental care practices.

For its fifth edition, we have chosen to create a two day event: The Sustainable Steward Ceremony on June the 7th and the Sustainable Planet film festival on the 8th of June, also known as World Oceans Day.

On Monday, June the 7th, we are organizing the Sustainable Steward Ceremony at the eco chic restaurant Rouge Tomate, situated at 10 East 60th street from 6:00-8:00pm.

During the reception we celebrate unique sustainability personalities in various categories who are recognized for their community building efforts or environmental care practices. Some of the 2010 laureates are Almudena Fernandez for the Lifestyle category and Emmanuel Verstraeten for the Food category.

On Tuesday, June 8th, we will have the Sustainable Planet film festival at the Gabarron Foundation (Carriage House Center for the Arts), situated at 149 East 38th street.
