Queens Green Drinks, Hosted by the New York League of Conservation Voters and Sierra Club NYC
Date: Thursday, November 6th, 6:00pm - 9:00pm
Location: P.J. Horgans (42-17 Queens Blvd at 40th St, Sunnyside NY). MAP.

The New York League of Conservation Voters (NYLCV) is a nonpartisan, policy-making and political action organization that works to make environmental protection a top priority with elected officials, decision-makers and the voters by evaluating incumbent performance and endorsing and electing environmental leaders to office in New York State.
NYLCV's New York City Chapter is currently mobilizing 100,000 'Eco-Voters' for the 2009 citywide election, and we play a key role in issues affecting Queens, including advocating for better mass transit, funding for Greenways and waterfront development, and greater reliance on renewable energy.
Sierra Club NYC is the local chapter of the nation's largest grassroots environmental organization. It organizes a variety of events, and its activist members are involved with many issues at all levels, including sustainable development, energy, green jobs, transportation, and agriculture.
