On America Recycles Day, help clean up NYC and make electronics waste history!



NBC Universal and the City of New York are teaming up to create “Green Screens”, a FREE two-day Electronics Recycling Collection in all five boroughs!

Over 87.5% of electronics waste in the US goes to landfills, but now there is a better way to reduce waste and protect our environment.

We need YOU! Please volunteer to help make this event a success.

Event Details:
The collections will take place on Saturday, November 15 and Sunday, November 16. All events will be held from 8am to 2pm, rain or shine. Visit greenscreens for more information on what can be recycled.

MANHATTAN
**Saturday only: Adam Clayton Blvd State Office Building Plaza
(West 126th Street btw Adam Clayton Powell Blvd & Malcolm X Blvd)
**Sunday only: Cooper Square
(Cooper Square btw East 6th & 7th Sts)

BRONX
Saturday & Sunday: Joyce Kilmer Park
(Grand Concourse btw East 161st & 162nd Sts)

BROOKLYN
Saturday & Sunday: McCarren Park
(Williamsburg)

QUEENS
Saturday & Sunday: Cunningham Park
(Union Turnpike btw 196th & 197th Sts)

STATEN ISLAND
Saturday & Sunday: Staten Island Mall

Here’s How
:

· Volunteers must be 18 years or older. You will assist with event set up and help control the flow of the event by pointing pedestrians and vehicular traffic to the drop-off site to make sure that recycling is quick and easy.
· Food and beverages will be provided, as well as an official organic cotton event t-shirt.
· Prepare to be on your feet and wear comfortable clothing and sneakers. Please arrive at the beginning of your shift for a quick training, to pick up your t-shirt and sign a brief liability waiver.

Available Volunteer Shifts:

1. Saturday, November 15th: 7am – 11am
2. Saturday, November 15th: 10:30am – 2:30pm
3. Sunday, November 16th: 7am – 11am
4. Sunday, November 16th: 10:30am – 2:30am
