Pratt Institute's 2nd Annual Green Week Celebration

Pratt's annual Green Week celebration continues to expand. This year's program includes gallery exhibits, competitions, talks, films, hands-on activities, and much, much more. Whether you're interested in sustainable materials, transportation options, environmental justice, local environmental actions, or global solutions for sustainability... Green Week 2008 has something for everyone.
All Green Week Events are open to the public and FREE! Events take place in a variety of locations across the Brooklyn campus, including Pratt Studios/Terian Design Center, Higgins Hall, the ARC and (weather permitting) tents on the main campus lawn.
Our goal is to spread the word of sustainable living and raise awareness of all the initiatives taking place at Pratt Institute and throughout the Pratt Community. Please join us!
Green Week Keynote Address: Dr. Paul Polak
This year's keynote address will be given by Dr. Paul Polak, author of the acclaimed book Out of Poverty, and founder of the social design network D-Rev: Design for the other 90%. His show, Design for the other 90% was last summer's exhibition at the Cooper Hewitt National Museum of Design. In his keynote address, Dr. Polak will discuss the over 800 million people in the world living on less than a dollar a day, and how to design products which enable them to elevate their economic status. Higgins Hall Auditorium, 6pm Thursday, March 27th.
