[IDSANYC : Folio Series]

The New York City chapter of IDSA is excited to invite you to a new series of career development events to help industrial designers grow professionally, and provide them with the opportunity to exchange ideas with more experienced designers. To kick off the series, IDSA NYC hosted a successful one-day Career Expo at the Pratt Manhattan Campus on October 6th 2007, and to follow up on this effort, we are introducing another professional development series, Facetime with a Pro, in the hope of encouraging an on-going dialogue on career issues and provide networking opportunity among design professionals.

Facetime with a Pro, an event intended to encourage a more interactive exchange between attendees and a featured designer, within a casual setting. The featured designer will share his/ her professional experiences, industry insights, and career advice with the audience. The event will begin with a moderator interviewing the featured designer, and then open up to attendees, the opportunity to "converse" with the designer and the moderator. It will be limited to 25 attendees so as to create an intimate and casual environment that promotes more in-depth and abundant conversations between speaker and audience. Our first event will feature Rie Nørregaard, Creative Director at frog design, and will be moderated by Angela Yeh, President of Yeh Ideology. Do not miss out this opportunity to meet Rie!!
