WHAT: Every month people who work in the environmental field meet up for a drink at networking events known as Green Drinks - its a chance to mix with other like-minded people, share info and make friends. Many people have found employment, developed new ideas, made business connections and had moments of serendipity. It's a force for the good and its spreading around the world.

WHEN:Tuesday, July 10, 2007, from 6 - 10pm

WHERE: Join us this month at: 79th Street Boat Basin : we're heading uptown, outside, on the water. Directions :: Walk as far west on 79th Street as possible, cross Riverside Drive on either side of the street. You'll see a green highway overpass bridge. Walk underneath the bridge. There are staircases on both sides that will lead you down to the restaurant. Subway: 1,9 to 79th street or 2,3 to 72nd street. : 212 496 5542

COST: $10 donation supports our chapter, covers our time and effort as well as internet, web and mailing list expenses to keep us going and you connected.

POWER: Bring your electric bill, sign up for Wind Powerr and entry is free. NYWind Power is off-setting our monthly carbon footprint, and so far has helped over 250 Green Drinkers make the switch to alternative energy in the last year.

HOW: Walk,cycle, bus, subway, pedicab or taxi (ok if more than two passengers). Just go up to someone and say "are you green?", and you'll be made welcome.

WHO: Anyone working on environmental issues, studying them, thinking green, likes networking and being social.

WHY: Fun, contacts, alcohol, info, gossip, inspiration, business and pleasure.
