Join BIG! Staff at Saturday's FREECYCLE New York City Solar-Powered Freemeet

Saturday, June 24, 2006 11am - 4pm at Habana Outpost Eco-Eatery

757 Fulton Street at South Portland Ft. Greene, Brooklyn

Freecycle's "FreeMeet" is a real swap-meet! It's also a way of helping to reduce New York's waste and promote reuse with a day of giving (and getting). Bring your usable, but unwanted household goods to give and come see what's being given away.

Leftover items will be donated to local charities to the extent possible.

Party at Solar One's Citysol Sunday!

Citysol celebrates the idea that greening New York is about unleashing, not taming, the city and its energy. The free all-day event includes: renewable energy-powered live music from Aa (Big A Little a), Japanther, (BIG!NYC's very own) the Occasion, Parts & Labor, Tomorrow's Friend and the Wowz; interactive exhibits showcasing key innovations; practices and policies for New York's sustainable future; and a green lifestyle marketplace offering apparel, electronics, household goods, media and much more.
